SMR’s commercial property and tenant data files provide you with a concise and accurate picture of a property or company. Tax assessor records of any commercial property are easily obtained, but the picture they provide is far from complete or accurate. SMR’s enhanced commercial property database fills in the gaps and provides you with valuable data, saving you the time and expense of doing your own research on each property.
Important commercial property data available in SMR’s database includes:
Instead of a vague description such as “commercial” or “tax exempt”, SMR has identified the actual use of the majority of properties in our database. Building names are also identified, so that instead of a generic address, you can see identifying information such as “Acme Repair Shop” or “Medical Plaza”.
Tax records tell you who owns a commercial building, but not who’s actually there. SMR adds data on over 7 million tenants from our own proprietary database of companies, schools, and institutions. Our data also specifies whether the building is owned by its occupant or a third party. And in many cases, our tenant information includes names and contact information for the building’s occupants or owners.
Our database includes detailed information on the physical building, or buildings, on a property. If a property includes multiple structures, such as a shopping plaza or industrial park, that information is indicated. We also have square footage and perimeter figures for each building on a property.
